As strong as the claims for Racial Injustice existing within our society there are also counterarguments that help show that this isn’t a strong issue. Looking at the informational breakdown of crimes committed by felons, there is data to back up the idea that African American males are profiled because it has been observed that there are more crimes committed in that community. In Amy L. Wax’s book “Race, Wrongs, and Remedies” she offers counter information in an attempt to open both sides of the debate. Wax argues that while races and gender have no effect on someone being violent or a criminal, statistically there is more crime observed with the African American community. She argues that over time the influx of crime created this culture of Racial Injustice.
